Back in January, I wrote a post titled, On Selfishness, Birthdays, Death and Motherhood. What I realized, after receiving much feedback, is that the post was really meant to be a spoke word piece. Readers needed to become viewers and listeners. Emotion is often conveyed better through visual and auditory media.
So, I offer you a more complete version of my story. This is dedicated to all of my sisters who are also motherless mothers.

What a wonderful spoken word!! Very moving and very captivating…
My only feedback is that the background competed with your image and watching you look down to read/find your place was distracting and took me out of the moment’s emotion. After I scrolled down and simply listened to the audio, it was more effective in communication and drawing me in to share your emotion. 🙂 This is such a needed message, I would love to see you take it to the next step visually! It is quite an amazing message. <3

Thanks for the feedback on the visuals, Chelsea. With no budget, all of my work is DIY. So, I have no teleprompter and no videographer to help out. Do share it with the motherless mothers whom you know. The message is the important part. Thanks!
